Goal

Visits and bookings — including high-value birthday parties.

Strategy

Four layers: awareness, engagement, community, then conversion (~34% of budget).

Measured outcome

46.3M impressions, ~8,600 chats and 1,232 birthday form leads. Bookings were tracked offline.

Press start

A new venue. One paid channel. Four obstacles.

PLAYDEN opened in December 2025 with zero brand awareness, offering VR, phygital soft play, the Haunted Den, rides and birthday packages. Meta was the only paid channel; the business goal was visits and bookings.

Player 1 · the visitor

Excite the child or teen with the thrill of the experience.

Player 2 · the decision-maker

Reassure the parent, then make it easy to ask.

Scoring rule: Meta could measure chats and birthday form leads — the route to a booking. Bookings, footfall and revenue happened offline and are not in this data.

1

Zero awareness

Be known across Lahore, fast.

2

Crowded weekends

Malls, cinemas and play areas compete for the same family budgets.

3

Many attractions

Each appeals to a different visitor — kids, teens, parents, groups.

4

Offline finish line

Online interest had to become a conversation and a visit.

Where the budget went (approx.)

Chart values from the report; they total 99% due to rounding. The biggest share went to the layer closest to a booking.

The results arcade

Play with the numbers.

Three ways to read the same ten months: how things changed over time, how campaigns compare, and how the metrics move together. Hover or tap any mark for its value.

Monthly trend

Choose a metric. The shaded months are when budget moved to chat campaigns.

Indexed growth: engagement vs video

Both series indexed to December = 100, so they share one scale.

EngagementsThruPlays

ThruPlays kept climbing to June (≈5.9× December) after engagement peaked in February (≈4.8×).

Implied monthly spend (derived)

Engagements × cost per engagement for each month. Totals ≈ PKR 2.35M vs PKR 2.36M reported, so budget was fairly steady.

Derived from rounded chart labels — an estimate, not an exported figure.

Cost per chat, by offer

Like for like: three campaigns whose result was a WhatsApp/Messenger chat.

Everyday and kids offers started chats far more cheaply than birthday inquiries — expected for a higher-value group booking, though booking values weren’t tracked.

Budget share by layer

Approximate allocation from the report (totals 99%).

Chats: whole period vs final eight weeks

The conversion push produced almost half of all chats.

4,039 of ~8,600 chats (≈47%) came in Aug–Sep. Dec–Jul figure is the difference, so it is approximate.

Volume vs cost per engagement

Each dot is a month. r ≈ −0.87 across 10 months.

Months with more engagement had cheaper engagement. With steady monthly spend this is partly arithmetic (cost = spend ÷ engagements), so read it as description, not proof of cause.

Engagement vs video ThruPlays

Each dot is a month. r ≈ 0.73.

The two tended to rise and fall together, but June broke the pattern: video peaked months after engagement did.

Campaign spend vs cost per result

Nine standout campaigns from the report. Colour and shape show the result type — costs are only comparable within a type. Cost axis is logarithmic.

Awareness (cost per 1,000 reached) is excluded because it isn’t a per-result cost.

Lessons

What we learned, and how sure we are.

Report observation

The offer sets the cost of a chat

Everyday and kids offers: roughly PKR 24–62 per chat. Birthdays: about PKR 140–150.

Report observation

Real people make strong video

Visitor-reaction videos earned ThruPlays for about PKR 0.10–0.58. Not a controlled test.

Directional

Warm up, then convert

Cheap visits and likes came before the conversion push. The sequence is clear; cause is not proven.

Report observation

Moments create urgency

Ramadan, Eid, exams, summer, 14 August and FIFA 2026 gave families a reason to come now.

Level 5 — unlock with measurement 🔒

Recommendations for the next phase, not completed work.

Keep Kids Soft Play and everyday-offer chats running; test price-led birthday creative.

Unlock 3

Warm audiences

Retarget video viewers, fans and past inquirers; build lookalikes from real bookers.

Unlock 4

Calendar ready

Winter holidays, the first anniversary, Ramadan and Eid planned with offers and hero videos.

Unlock 5

Party content loop

Collect reviews and clips (with permission) from every birthday family.

Fine print

How to read these numbers.

All results come from a Meta Ads Manager report for the PLAYDEN ad account, 1 December 2025 – 30 September 2026, in PKR. Waqas Ahmed Qureshi led the Meta advertising strategy; the Connect Waqas specialist team executed the campaigns.

  • Chats and form leads are different results. Together: approximately 9,800 reported chat and lead-form results — not unique customers, bookings or sales.
  • 13.97M accounts reached is summed across campaigns and months and may count people more than once.
  • Not tracked in Meta: footfall, bookings, revenue, profit and ROAS.
  • ~74.8K Instagram visits are not followers; ~17.8K page likes are not total followers. Impressions, engagements and ThruPlays measure different things.
  • Monthly values are rounded chart labels. “Implied spend”, indexed growth and correlation figures are calculated from those labels and are descriptive only.
