E-commerce growth · UAE, Saudi Arabia & the Gulf

Built for the way Gulf customers actually shop.

On a phone. In two languages. Around Ramadan and Eid. Often after a quick WhatsApp message to check you are real. I build e-commerce growth around those habits — not around a campaign copied from London or New York.

A note before we talk

Most Gulf stores I see are not short of traffic.

They are short of trust at the right moment. The ad is in English but the shopper thinks in Arabic. The price is clear, but the delivery date is not. The checkout asks for a card from someone who wanted to pay on arrival. And the WhatsApp message they sent before buying waited until the next morning.

None of that is fixed by spending more. It is fixed by understanding how people in your country decide — and building every step around it. That is the work I lead, and my team carries it through.

Five things the Gulf rewards

What we design every plan around.

01

The phone comes first

Most journeys start and end on mobile. We design the product page and checkout for a thumb, then check desktop.

02

Two languages, one brand

Arabic that reads as written, not translated, alongside English — matched to who actually buys from you.

03

Trust before payment

Cash on delivery, pay-later options and local returns all build confidence. We test which matter for your customers, using your data.

04

A calendar that moves

Ramadan and Eid shift about eleven days earlier each year. Plans are built backwards from them, not from last year’s dates.

05

Conversations close sales

A fast, helpful reply on WhatsApp often decides the order. We treat it as part of the funnel, and measure it.

Six countries, six markets

The Gulf is not one market. Choose yours.

Currency, weekend, language and the channels worth testing first — at a glance.

الإمارات

Selling in UAE

A highly international customer base: one store often has to speak to Emiratis, long-term residents and visitors at once. Clear delivery times and easy returns carry a lot of weight.

Where I would start: one honest review of how your store looks to a shopper in UAE on their phone, in their language, with prices in AED.

Selling in Saudi Arabia

The largest Gulf market, and an Arabic-first one. Creative that feels translated rather than written for Saudi shoppers is noticed quickly.

Where I would start: one honest review of how your store looks to a shopper in Saudi Arabia on their phone, in their language, with prices in SAR.

Selling in Qatar

A smaller, high-value market where reputation travels fast. Premium presentation and reliable delivery matter more than volume.

Where I would start: one honest review of how your store looks to a shopper in Qatar on their phone, in their language, with prices in QAR.

Selling in Kuwait

Strong social buying culture and close-knit word of mouth. Social proof and fast replies to messages do a lot of the selling.

البحرين

Selling in Bahrain

Compact and well connected to Saudi Arabia. Many brands serve both from one plan, which only works if each country is still measured separately.

Where I would start: one honest review of how your store looks to a shopper in Bahrain on their phone, in their language, with prices in BHD.

Selling in Oman

Often reached as an add-on to UAE campaigns, yet it rewards its own messaging, pricing in rials and honest delivery promises.

The Gulf retail calendar

Win the season before it starts.

The biggest weeks of the year are predictable. Most brands still start too late to test their ads first.

  1. 6–8 weeks beforeRamadan prep

Creative tested, offers decided, stock and delivery capacity confirmed.

  2. Lunar monthRamadan

Evening and late-night browsing; gifting and family buying build through the month.

  3. End of RamadanEid al-Fitr

Last-order dates for delivery before Eid matter as much as the offer.

  4. About 70 days laterEid al-Adha

A second gifting and travel peak, often followed by a quieter summer.

  5. Sep – DecNational days

Saudi 23 Sep, Oman in November, Bahrain 16 Dec, UAE 2 Dec, Qatar 18 Dec.

  6. November – Q1White Friday → DSF

Discount season, then Dubai Shopping Festival and Kuwait’s national days in February.

Planning note: because the Islamic calendar is lunar, Ramadan and both Eids arrive roughly eleven days earlier each year. Your plan is dated to the actual calendar for the year we work in.

Readiness check

Is your store ready for the country you serve?

Five yes-or-no questions, answered in under a minute. Nothing is stored or sent.

Is your product content available in the language your customers browse in?

Are prices shown in the local currency?

Is the delivery time stated on product pages?

Do you offer local returns?

Can customers reach you on chat or WhatsApp?

Questions Gulf founders ask me

Straight answers.

Do you create Arabic ads and content?

Yes, with native-speaker review on everything customer-facing. We never publish machine translation unchecked. Tell me in the form which languages your customers buy in.

We sell in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. One campaign or two?

Two, at minimum. Different currency, language balance, weekend and channels — and you need to see each country’s results on their own to know where the next dirham or riyal should go.

Should we offer cash on delivery?

It depends on your category, order value and return rates. We look at your own order data first, then test — rather than assume.

Can we pay in AED?

Yes. Monthly plans are priced in AED. The Growth Audit is $697, billed in USD.

Do you work with Amazon.ae, Amazon.sa or Noon?

Amazon Ads is part of the Partner plan. If you also sell on Noon, tell me on the call and we will look at how it fits with your own store.

Can we just talk on WhatsApp?

Of course. Many Gulf clients prefer it for quick questions. Plans, reports and decisions are also shared by email and on video calls, so nothing important lives only in a chat.

Next step

Tell me which market you serve.

Your selected country is already in the form. Or message me on WhatsApp if that is easier. I reply personally within one working day.

1. Share your store and country
2. I review your store for that market
3. A 30-minute call with clear first priorities
